 Frank Carlson

Dr. Frank Carlson is originally from Seattle, where he completed a B.A. in history at the University of Washington. He then completed an M.A. in history at Western Washington University and a Ph.D. in history at Trinity College Dublin, where his research focused on the growth of papal institutions in the mid-twelfth century. He began teaching college history courses full-time in 2008 at The Citadel, in Charleston, South Carolina, and arrived in 2015 at La Verne, where he has taught a wide array of both lower and upper division courses in European, world, and U.S. history.
