Piano Proficiency
Piano Proficiency for Minors: For a student minoring in music: the keyboard requirements shall be met upon completion of one of the following: 1) four (4) units of Piano Instruction in a combination of MUS 140 Piano Workshop, MUS 142 Piano Workshop II, MUS 344 Piano Workshop III, and/or MUS 346 Piano Workshop IV respectively, and/or Individual Instruction (MUS 120 Piano or MUS 320 Advanced Piano), with a final grade of B- or higher; or, 2) a proficiency exam for which the student will prepare in advance (consult the Music Department for specifics regarding the proficiency exam.)
