The University of La Verne Theatre Arts Department has partnered with The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, one of the premiere acting conservatories in the United Kingdom. After completing an acting studio sequence here, select La Verne theatre students may be recommended to study Classical Acting and experience the rigors of conservatory training for a semester in London, utilizing La Verne’s financial aid package and receiving University of La Verne credit.
The Classical Acting course is:
“Based on the work of Shakespeare and either Jacobean or English Comedy of Manners playwrights, this course is designed to deepen students’ engagement with classical texts and develop their skills. Intensive and entirely practical, it offers international students an exhilarating introduction to British conservatoire training.”
