Created by the students of Musical Theatre Interterm Workshop, Facets takes you into an underground, smoky nightclub where singers, dancers, artists, writers (and one very popular drag queen) explore the intoxicating and outrageous sides of love, sex and relationships. The production combines song, dance, music and spoken word to expose human nature and the vulnerability in all of us when we get all tangled up in love. Join us for an evening of shocking dance, timeless music and beautiful people.
Featuring music and lyrics by Michele Brourman, with additional lyrics by Karen Gottleib and Amanda McBroom, with additional music by Christy Crowel. The production also features text from the writings of Sam Shepard, Joseph Chaikin, R.D. Laings and little bit of Bette Midler thrown in.
Director of Theatre, Steven Kent, leads this production with musical direction by Carol Stephenson, art direction by La Verne Alum Matthew G. Hill, makeup by Sam Euper and light design by Malakye Ayres. The production also features live music with Steve Biondo on percussion and Josh Aguiar on piano.
