Summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates (NSF REU Programs)

The National Science Foundation (NSF) funds Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) across a wide range of fields, including biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, mathematics, and more. These competitive summer programs place students at research universities and institutes across the U.S., where they conduct hands-on research under faculty mentorship, gain professional development experience, and present their findings at the end of the program. Opportunities are available in every department of the Natural Science Division, and most provide stipends and housing support.
