The purpose of the conference is to provide opportunities for history students to present their research to their peers in order to highlight outstanding undergraduate and graduate student work in Southern California.
We seek the submission of papers on topics related to American, European, Latin American, African, Asian, and other world histories covering any period of time. Prizes will be awarded for the most outstanding presentations at the conference.
We welcome submissions and attendance from both Phi Alpha Theta members as well as students who are not yet members of the society. Additionally, we welcome attendance by students and faculty advisors from outside of the state should they wish to join us. We enthusiastically invite community members with a passion for history to attend the talks on Saturday, March 16th.
