Class visit: Kiik Araki-Kawaguchi

Kiik Araki-Kawaguchi (THE BOOK OF KANE AND MARGARET) virtually visiting CWRT 304: Adv. Fiction

On December 5, Kiik Araki-Kawaguchi, author of the tremendously innovative and meaningful collection THE BOOK OF KANE AND MARGARET, beamed into our Advanced Fiction class all the way from Bellingham, Washington. As students were nearing the semester’s end and were focused on revising their works, Kiik led them through exercises that opened up new and exciting possibilities for considering how stories can end–and, of course, how they might begin. Students talked to Kiik about his own writing, discussing his personal goals as an author, how his work has been received, and craft choices he made throughout his debut collection. A great visit for everyone.
