Through this program, students have the opportunity to obtain two degrees:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Physics B.S. or B.A. from La&nbsp;Verne<\/li>\n<li>An Engineering Degree, B.S. from Washington University<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While at La&nbsp;Verne, students participating in this program will enjoy the small class sizes, well rounded education, sense of community and other benefits of attending a small liberal arts college while at the same time taking foundational sciences courses that will count towards an engineering degree.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Plans<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Students in this program attend La&nbsp;Verne and take all general education and physics requirements. They then transfer to Washington University and complete the remaining engineering requirements. There are two possible pathways that can be taken in order to complete the dual degree program:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3-2 plan (3 years at La&nbsp;Verne and 2 years at Washington University)<\/li>\n<li>4-2 plan (4 years at La&nbsp;Verne and 2 years at Washington University)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Regardless of the plan, at the end of the program the student will receive a physics degree from La&nbsp;Verne and an Engineering degree from Washington University.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Washington University<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/engineering.wustl.edu\/prospective-students\/dual-degree\/Pages\/default.aspx\">Washington University in St. Louis<\/a> is a private research university located in St. Louis, Missouri.\u00a0 Washington University\u2019s James McKelvey School of\u00a0 Engineering is ranked among US News and World\u2019s Report\u2019s top 50 Engineering Schools, and focuses intellectual efforts on medicine and health, energy and environment, entrepreneurship and security.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Dual Degree Engineering Program is a partnership program between the University of La&nbsp;Verne and Washington University in St. Louis.
