The University of La Verne Communications Department is considered among the best programs in the state of California.<\/p>\n

Our journalism program produces two regular publications \u2014 the Campus Times<\/a>, the university’s weekly campus newspaper, and La Verne Magazine<\/a>, a twice-yearly full color city magazine serving the city of La Verne \u2014 as well as the local television news program, Foothill Community News.<\/p>\n

The digital media program consists of two concentrations, film and television, and radio.<\/p>\n

The digital media major is an immersive program that trains students to work in the entertainment industry and prepares them for the future of media. Our broadcast program operates LeoFM<\/a>, La\u00a0Verne\u2019s radio station, and\u00a0LVTV-3<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0KWST<\/a>, the community access television stations for the cities of La\u00a0Verne and San Dimas.<\/p>\n

Student work in these areas regularly earns national\/state awards and honors from professional and collegiate organizations across the country. Likewise, our graduates hold prestigious positions in the media, both locally and nationally.<\/p>\n
